Step 1 — Let’s Connect

Ready to make it official?
Start by checking if I’m available for your date. If I am, we’ll arrange a relaxed, obligation-free chat (online or in person). It’s a great chance to share your story, explore ideas, and see if we’re the right fit.

If you’re ready to book, here’s how it works:

  1. Please complete and return the Pre-Booking Form. This helps confirm the details of your ceremony and ensures everything is aligned from the outset.

  2. Next, take a moment to review the Client Service Agreement, then complete and return it so we can move forward with clarity and confidence.

  3. Once the agreement is signed, a 20% booking fee secures your date, and your ceremony is formally reserved.

  4. We’ll then meet to complete or witness your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and begin your ceremony planning together.

From here, we move into the heart of the process — shaping a ceremony that feels authentic, grounded, and true to you.

You’ll receive two documents to guide this stage:

From there, we collaborate on every detail — vows, structure, readings, and tone — and finalise your ceremony script around one month before the big day. We’ll then do a run-through or rehearsal so everything feels calm, confident, and seamless.

Step 2 — Legal Paperwork

There are three main legal documents required for your marriage in Australia:

1. Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)
This must be completed and received by me at least one month before your wedding and no earlier than 18 months before. I’ll help you complete and witness the form — either in person or online.

2. Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage
Usually signed at your rehearsal or just before your ceremony, this confirms you’re legally free to marry.

3. Marriage Certificates
During your ceremony, you’ll sign three copies — one for you, one for me, and one lodged with Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM). I’ll lodge all paperwork within 48 hours of your ceremony.

Once your marriage is registered, you can apply for your official marriage certificate, which is required for name changes, passports, and other legal updates. I can provide guidance or assist with the application process if needed.

Step 3 — Documents You’ll Need

You’ll need to provide original identification, such as:

  • Passport (Australian or overseas), or

  • Birth certificate and photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence)

You’ll also need:

  • Evidence of any name changes, if applicable

  • Evidence of divorce, nullity, or the death of a previous spouse, if applicable

If any documents are in another language, they must first be officially translated into English.

Step 4 — On the Day

You’ll need two witnesses aged 18 or older to sign your certificates. These can be friends or family.

I’ll bring everything needed — legal paperwork, signing table setup (if required), and a professional ceremony PA system — so all you need to do is relax and be present in the moment.

Step 5 — After the Ceremony

I’ll lodge your marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages and provide your commemorative certificate on the day.
